It started 5 years after I founded my production company (www.SkoVenture.com), when I asked my Mother, Father, and brother for an interview. I wanted a record of their life story, to ask the probing questions, learn, and create an invaluable piece of family history for my future children to look back on. To me, there is no greater value than that of family; and no greater fear than forgetting. 

Shortly thereafter, friends started asking me to interview their family members, and a grand project began.

This is a product I am thrilled to offer, because the value is unmatched. The ability to tell your great grandkids your story, to pass down your wisdom in its purest and most honest form, to capture not just words but emotion, inflection, energy, and passion… its something we have never been able to do until the current day.

Now, I travel around New England offering this product, merging my professional interview and film skills, to provide families with a unique and powerful piece of memorabilia you can’t get anywhere else.

How Far Do You Travel?

New England, the USA, and internationally! There is no limit to how far we are willing to go. For all interviews within New England, we travel by car with gas being the only additional expense. For interviews that require air travel, we will give you a personal quote.

Do You Conduct The Interviews?

Usually! The hundreds of interviews I have under my belt enable me to guide the interview in a tactful and productive way. That being said, I am always happy to meet and discuss interview direction over video chat, or merely film as others conduct the interview.

What Kind Of Packages Do You Offer?

We try our best to accommodate your needs, so we offer 1, 2, & 3 one-two hour interview segment packages. 

  • 1-2 interview segments are best if the interview focus is specific. Examples of this: the interviewees’ time in the military, or perhaps their reflections on what it takes to be a good parent or spouse.
  • 2-3 interview segments are best if you would like to immortalize one’s entire life story (e.g. first memories as a child, through dating, through married life, through the present day (and everything in-between)). The details are the best part, but they take time!
NOTE: We encourage you to strongly consider the outcome you wish to see from the interview(s). Perhaps the goal is to merely record how your mother and father interact together in a tandem interview (here, emotion and interaction is paramount). Perhaps you primarily want information regarding one individuals experiences (here, information and data is key). Take some time and let us know!
